Smartclip Nordics, a multiscreen video and brand advertising platform, has opened an office in Helsinki. According to smartclip, Helsinki is a very favourable city for entrepreneurs, with minimal level of bureaucracy, making it easy to set up a business.
Smartclip was founded in Hamburg, Germany in 2008 and has quickly become one of the world’s leading providers of online video advertising. In 2010, smartclip Nordics established its headquarters in Stockholm. The company’s strategy is to grow in the Nordic markets, and it has already established offices in Copenhagen and Oslo.
– Opening an office in Helsinki was a natural step for us. To be a true Nordic player, we need to have local presence and knowledge in each of these markets, says Mr. Mattias Spetz, Managing Director at smartclip Nordics.
According to Spetz, one of the greatest advantages of Helsinki is the lack of bureaucracy, which makes it easy to set up a business in Finland.
– Helsinki is known to be a very favourable city for entrepreneurs. It also offers a growing, innovative business environment with high availability of skilled workforce, and good connections to both Europe and the developing Eastern markets.
As a highly developed and technologically advanced country, Finland represents an interesting market for a company specialized in video advertising.
– Finland is actually the first country in the world to make broadband a legal human right: all five million Finns are entitled to at least one megabit per second, Spetz points out.
– We hope that our knowledge and experience will help the Finnish publishers and clients to utilize online video the best way possible. Being in a country where people almost naturally seem to embrace these technologies seems like a very good fit.
