Unity is acquiring Finnish Applifier in order to integrate its popular Everyplay and GameAds services into Unity.
Applifiers main product’s Everyplay’s idea is simple: allow app publishers to cross-promote their games by adding replays to their game, which the players again can share in social media. Everyplay is popular with smaller, independent developers who do not have huge marketing budgets. When Applifier’s network went live in 2010, it experienced explosive growth reaching 10 million users in little over a month.
Unity, a game development engine that enables game developers to create their own games for any platform. According to Unity, the team formerly known as Applifier will stay the same and continue working on their products together with Unity.
