Finnish mobile game company Traplight Games has raised 500,000 dollars from angel investors including Sunstone Capital, Finnvera Venture Capital, East Wings, and Henric Suuronen.
Traplight is developing its first title, What on Earth!, a physics based mobile game. According to Traplight, the content and challenges will come from the players themselves.
What on Earth!, which was nominated for Best Social Game at Game Connection 2014 in Paris, is scheduled to launch early next year.
Traplight also announced that Sunstone Capital’s Nikolaj Nyholm, who is known for his advisory position at Mojang, Swedish developer of the hit game Minecraft, is joining its board of directors.
Founded in 2010, Tampere-based Traplight Games is a team of 12 people who share years of experience in mobile game development.
