Home of MaaS, frontrunner in autonomous driving and a hub for top piloting opportunities, Greater Helsinki and Finland are leading the mobility revolution. This is the place where public and private sector, academia and citizens co-create the coolest innovations together.
During Transport Research Arena TRA2020 we will arrange tailored program for approximately 1 or 1,5 days for selected, accredited media representatives to learn about the mobility ecosystem of Greater Helsinki and Finland and showcase some of the top innovations. You can take part in the whole program or the parts you find interesting.

Greater Helsinki is the home of mobility as a service. What does this mean in practise, where are we now and what does the future hold for MaaS? You will have a chance to talk with some of the key players in this area and see the maas services in action.
Future mobility solutions are developed, piloted and scaled in Greater Helsinki in tight cooperation with the public and private sector, academia and residents. Jätkäsaari residential district is the hub for future mobility development. The visit includes an introduction to the daily operations, collaboration with the locals, and the lessons learned of Jätkäsaari Mobility Lab and witnessing the Mobility Lab in action by taking a tour of the area. You will have a chance to interview some of the key people.
The capital region aims to be carbon neutral by 2035 and is actively seeking for new, sustainable solutions also for the mobility sector. Smart Otaniemi is an ecosystem dedicated to finding new solutions to renew the energy sector. The visit includes an introduction to the ecosystem and an opportunity to interview some of the key people.
FABULOS is a three-step pre-commercial procurement (PCP) project that aims to deliver a proof-of-concept for automated last-mile public transport as part of the existing transport system. The autonomous buses from the project are riding around the TRA event arena. You will have the opportunity to take a test drive and interview the key people of the FABULOS project.
Helsinki is one of the maritime capitals of the world. The region is especially focused on smart maritime and marine tech. The legislation is favorable for new experiments, and the city and government are actively investing in programs boosting for example the development of autonomous solutions. We will host an introduction to the smart maritime ecosystem of Greater Helsinki.
The Helsinki stand brings together public, private and academia players from the mobility sector. Meet also HBH’s experts there, we’ll tap you into the local smart mobility ecosystem!
The stand will be full of interesting program throughout the week, schedule will be published closer to the event.
