Helsinki based ThingLink, enabler of interactive images, has announced to have secured 1.5 million euro growth capital investment from Finnish Inventures Ltd., a group of angel investors and TEKES, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation.
San Francisco and New York area angel investors included the Terrapin Bale, former Tumblr president John Maloney, Fremantle Media N.A. CEO Thom Beers, Trimaran Capital managing partner Dean Kehler and SoundCloud CTO Eric Wahlforss.
Since founded in 2010, ThingLink has gathered total funding of approximately 2.9 million euros.
ThingLink has developed a platform that enables tagging content such as video, music, notes and web links to images and making them interactive across the web. The company has integrates with for example Amazon, SoundCloud, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Spotify, Vimeo and Wikipedia. ThingLink’s interactive image solutions enable content sharing via online images. Companies can use this creative storytelling as a way to drive more engagement on their websites, social media channels and ad campaigns.
