TCS Slush Experience 2015 offers startups an opportunity for a fast track
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, organizes TCS Slush Experience 2015, a tailored initiative bringing together startups at Slush Helsinki, and TCS’ leading customers in the Nordics. TCS Slush Experience 2015 will entail customized tours of the event for TCS’ customers, and the TCS Startup Match, offering selected startups to present their offerings to leading enterprises in a pitching competition. The winners of the Startup Match will be rewarded with the opportunity to pitch to TCS’ global clients at the upcoming TCS innovation events worldwide.
“We do this for the benefit of our customers,” says Ruchikar Dalela, Country Manager, TCS Finland. “TCS is committed to introducing next-generation technologies for our customers’ competitive advantage. Our close collaboration with startups from all over the world brings agile innovation to our customers and their digitization programs.”
“From the startups’ point of view, this is a great opportunity to connect with leading enterprises across industries from the Nordics and Europe, and showcase disruptive next-generation technologies,” Dalela concludes.
The TCS Slush Experience 2015 is hosted by the firm’s global Chief Technology Officer, K. Ananth Krishnan. He leads TCS’ COIN™, a global collaborative innovation framework that allows TCS to address a new generation of challenges. Through COIN™, TCS works with startups spanning varied technology areas from across the globe to create innovative solutions. Each year several startups are channeled through the COIN™ pipeline to undergo stringent technical and business diligence.
In preparation to Slush 2015, TCS teams will assess a great number of startups attending the event, and invite selected key enterprises to be a part of its guided tours at the event, and the TCS Startup Match. TCS’ engagement with Slush reinforces the firm’s focus on the event as one the foremost startup gatherings in the world.
“The Nordic region is a global hotbed of innovation and creativity, which also manifests itself in the rapid growth of Slush Helsinki. We have been impressed with the level of innovation and next-generation technologies that the startups at Slush have introduced in the past,” says K. Ananth Krishnan, Chief Technology Officer, TCS. “We are looking forward to Slush 2015, and our own Startup Match, to identify the most innovative startups this year.”
On a global level, the TCS COIN™ program includes the likes of Andreessen Horowitz, Sierra Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, United States, University of California Berkeley through to Clarabridge, Neospeech, TestPlant and others.
As a part of its COIN™ ecosystem activities in Finland, in February 2014, TCS promoted five Finnish startups to showcase their technologies in Silicon Valley, USA. The companies were introduced to some of TCS’ leading clients across banking, insurance, and media industries.
