Have you heard of the infoShare StartupZone? If you are a startup or an investor, now is definitely the time to hop on board!
InfoShare is an annual, free IT & NewMedia conference organized in Gdansk. This year’s conference focuses on bold and innovative ideas adding infoShare StartupZone to its program – a special area dedicated for startups and investors.
One of the most intriguing parts of the StartupZone is the Startup Contest directed to the innovative entrepreneurs around Europe. During the Startup Contest companies will have an opportunity to meet with experienced mentors, present their unique ideas to the international jury and win fantastic prizes.
– Gdansk is an important area for start-up activity and growth, and therefore an excellent venue for organizing this kind of event, says Ann Plough, one of the jury members of the Startup Contest.
Ann works for the International VC Zone that helps VCs from around the world to find deal flow in the Baltic Sea Region. VC Zone collaborates actively with partners around the region in order to be able to pass on the most relevant information and help their VC members make the most of their valuable time.
– When international VCs visit the region, they are often traveling great distances to do so, and want to have access to the companies that best suit their strategy and portfolio needs, Ann says.

Some 100 startups around Europe have send applications for the Startup Competition. The winners will be announced in the competition finals on 23rd May. Organizers expect over 2500 guests to take part in the infoShare IT & NewMedia conference in 22-23 May, 2014.
