Nineteen Finnish companies have been listed in a top global sustainability index. The companies have been included in to STOXX Global ESG Leaders Index which consists of companies which are seen as the global leaders in environmental behavior, social sustainability and corporate governance. The index relates to 1800 companies.
The Finnish companies listed by STOXX Global ESG Leaders Index index are Amer, Elisa, Fortum, Kemira, Kone, Konecranes, Kesko, Metso, Neste Oil, Nokia, Nokian Renkaat, Orion, Outotec, Pohjola Bank, Sampo, Stora Enso, UPM Kymmene, Wartsila and YIT.
Neste Oil, the Finnish refining and marketing company, has also been selected as a sustainable investment for the new Storebrand Trippel Smart and SPP Global Topp 100 fund launched in October. The supermarket chain Kesko has been included also in FTSE4Good Index which measures the performance of companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards.
