Trusteq’s expertise will strengthen KPMG’s position in the cyber security market.
Auditing giant KPMG will acquire 100% of the shares of the Finnish cyber security consulting company Trusteq. Trusteq specialises in identity and access management and the management of large IT infrastructure and transformation projects.
Trusteq’s Board Chairman Vesa Halonen sees the transaction as a necessary step in the company’s journey to extend its international reach and he is looking forward to the expansion of operations to new markets globally.
According to KPMG, the acquisition of Trusteq will strengthen the company’s strategically important expertise in the fields of cyber security and IT consulting services provided to management. The transaction will double the number of the company’s IT experts, to more than 100.
“KPMG is already well positioned in information security services in many client segments, and following the acquisition, KPMG will be one of the leading providers of IT security services in Finland,” says the delighted CEO of Trusteq Finland, Raija-Leena Hankonen. “The transaction will considerably strengthen our cyber security and IT consulting services, putting us in an ever better position to develop our operations in both Finland and on an international scale.”
