Japanese Olympus Corporation, a manufacturer giant of optics and reprography products, has joined University of Eastern Finland and Joensuu Science Park Ltd. in a project that studies and develops spectrum color technology.
According to the Joensuu Science Park represenative Olympus has confirmed its participation in the development project and is considering setting up a new R&D center in Europe as an addition to the two other centers located in Japan and the Silicon Valley.
The projects has received a development funding of two milloin euros from Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation. Other companies involved in the project include Exel Composites Ltd, Abloy Ltd and Phillips-Medisize Ltd.
