(Good news from Finland) – The British magazine Monocle has chosen Helsinki as the second most liveable city in the world. Last year Helsinki made the top spot, but this year was ousted by Zurich, Switzerland.
“A new entrepreneurial spirit is making this changing city more creative than ever. Anyone visiting Helsinki, especially this year, while it acts as the World Design Capital, won’t help but notice all the activity”, Monocle writes.
Helsinki receives also praise for its impressive projects such as the new metro line and the conversion of its harbours into attractive residential areas. According to Monocle, Helsinki is “a city where good ideas quickly come to life”.
