The business potential of the future will soon gather in Helsinki, the capital city with solid expertise and prosperous companies in cleantech. The Global Cleantech Summit 2015 to be organized 8–10 September provides an international discussion and innovation forum for the key global challenges: How to mitigate the impacts of climate change, and how to succeed and take effective steps towards a better future with clean technologies?
It is no coincidence that the summit takes place in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. Cleantech forms one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. Finnish companies are well known for their extensive array of clean technology. They have expertise in technology for renewable energy, chemical solutions for water recycling, transforming waste into products and energy, and new transport and delivery solutions, to name just a few.
The Global Cleantech Summit is a platform for corporate directors, political decision-makers, investors, researchers, and stakeholders to discuss the opportunities that cleantech solutions can provide. The summit offers insights to the solutions and success stories in the Nordic and aims to catalyse linkages between all interest groups to form international roadmaps and potential business partnerships with the most promising Finnish and international companies and investors.
The themes of the 2015 event are in the very core of Finnish cleantech expertise. The summit will discuss global green transformation, value chains, business co-operation, industrial revolution, and division of labour. Themes such as key enabling technologies, future mobility solutions, and smart infrastructures will be covered, as well as challenges and opportunities in the minerals sector with a special focus on the Arctic.
In the end of the summit, there will be various company visits to introduce practical solutions and Finnish know-how and to offer opportunities to network and chat. Guests can choose between visits in Helsinki for smart life and blue cleantech, a bit further away to see the end of waste, and a visit close to the Russian border for advanced bio visit.
