Wired magazine ranks Helsinki as one of the top 10 startup cities in Europe in their November issue. The prestigious magazine lists the hottest 100 companies causing the “greatest buzz” in the startup field in Europe. In Finland startups from ICT ecosystem dominate the scene.
Helsinki-based ICT companies Supercell, Jolla and GrandCru have all already created name for themselves and were included on the Wired’s list. Other interesting, though less known, startups sports and movement tracker ProtoGeo, bookmarking company Kippt, shopper’s activity tracker Walkbase, location-aware apps provider IndoorAtlas, online banking company Holvi and Scarlet Motors that incorporates car building into mobile platform were included in the Europe’s top 100 list. From cleantech side Finnish ZenRobotics was also rightfully placed on the list.
