Helsinki to Host the Major Medical Technology Event of the Nordic Countries
The medical technology market is growing by leaps and bounds. The positive development has brought about an innovation boom, the results of which, however, cannot be enjoyed without adequate funding. The 3rd MedTech Nordic – the major medical technology event in the Nordic countries – is organized in Helsinki on 3 September 2013. The event brings together the leading experts and investors in the field.
Health challenges and increasing resource and cost pressures facing health care systems today demand increasingly cost-effective solutions. In terms of innovativeness, medical technology ranks among the top fields, but only the best and the most impressive innovations succeed.
”The Nordic countries have a tremendous amount of expertise and knowledge, a long and established tradition and several successful leading companies. We are able to provide reliable and convincing solutions,” said Terhi Kajaste, the Managing Director of Finnish Healthtech Association, FiHTA and continued that ”however, developing medical technology solutions and proving their significance takes time, so even the best ideas don’t get off the ground without adequate funding.”
As the name suggests, MedTech Nordic Investing & Partnering event gathers together the leading medical technology experts from small to large medtech enterprises, various types of investors, bidders, partners and service providers. The event is jointly organized by Nordic medical technology trade associations and their partners and its purpose is to support medtech growth companies with diagnostic, therapeutic, ICT and eHealth solutions in finding funding and partners.
