GMO Global Sign, the security division of the Tokyo-based GMO Internet Group and a provider of identity services for online transactions, acquires Helsinki-based Ubisecure Solutions, a privately-held identity and access management (IAM) software developer.
The acquisition delivers technology and talent to propel Global Sign’s strategic focus on identity services for Internet of Everything (IoE) market, where the ability to make secure networked connections among people, processes, data and things, will require that every “thing” has a trusted identity.

The entire Ubisecure team is expected to join Global Sign, which intends to invest in and develop an IAM center of excellence in Helsinki.
