We challenge the government to work as the engine and citizens to come up with ideas
Finland needs more international investments and experts for our economy to thrive and our wellbeing to grow. ‘Many right measures are carried out in Finland, but a comprehensive program to attract investors and talent is lacking. Such a program must be built together with the government’, say the Mayor of Helsinki Jan Vapaavuori and the Chairman of the Board of Helsinki Business Hub Marja-Leena Rinkineva.
Finland succeeds in international competition only if we improve our attractiveness in the view point of foreign companies and top experts. Commencing a comprehensive program would send a message that Finland takes the matter seriously. For example Finland needs to have the readiness to quickly choose and offer the best location, when a significant international opportunity presents itself. Internal blundering in such questions makes us slow and we lose major investment opportunities.
