(Good News from Finland) A group from Nokia Research and the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) has developed a prototype of a squeezable mobile phone.
According to the website Discovery.com, the two parties have created a smartphone prototype dubbed ForcePhone which lets you to show emotions through squeezing. For example, if you want to give your loved one a cuddle at the end of a long-distance call, the phone can convey that.
The ForcePhone allows users to squeeze phone during a live call, and the phone conveys different kinds of messages based on squeezing and the pressure applied. These physical messages, called presages, are communicated through both users’ phones as varying vibrations depending on how pressure is applied.
