(International VC Zone) – Finnish hi-tech companies announced that they have raised €127,8 million of venture capital in 2011. This amount is a slight increase over the accrued investments of 2009 and 2010, which were at €107,9 million and €91,8 million respectively.
The total number of risk investments was 49 in 2011 with a total value of €127,815,000. The number of transactions continues a downward trend, as 77 investments were made in 2009 and 61 in 2010. However, with a net growth of 39% in total investment value from 2010 to 2011, the median value of investments was clearly up.
