For the second year in a row, the World Economic Forum has ranked Finland as the third most competitive country in the world. In their annual Gloval Competitiveness Index the only two countries ahead of Finland were Singapore and Switzerland.
According to WEF Finland excels in health and primary education, and the transparency of public insitutions is the best in the world. Finland’s private institutions, ranked 3rd overall, are seen to be among the best run and most ethical in the world. If Finland would finad a way to improve its capacity to adopt the latest technologies (ranking 18th in 2013), country’s competitive position in going forward could improve still.
