Specialising in the development of clean energy and efficient use of natural resources, Finland’s Cleantech Invest has attracted a trio of significant investments.
“After strong growth in portfolio revenues the international interest in us has been high,” observes CEO Alexander Lidgren. “We have chosen to bring in three strategic actors that all add value through their respective networks in China, Silicon Valley and Sweden. Just as we have announced we will be making steps to gain strategic footholds on international hotspots for our companies.”
The majority of the investment comes from Zhejiang Ruiyang Technologies Company. A leading industrial player, as well as investor in the Chinese cleantech sector, the company is looking to “build a bridge of Nordic cleantech to the Chinese market,” according to its investment director Dr. Jian Wu.
The round also included investments from Epstein Advisors, based in Palo Alto, California, and Stockholm-based private company GLD Invest.
The new shareholders have received six per cent of Cleantech Invest, by way of a directed emission of 1 170 000 new series A shares.
