Bitbar Technologies, the Finnish company behind Testdroid – cloud-based mobile development and testing, has closed a new funding round. The investment was led by a Nordic VC Inventure, with participation from existing investors Qualcomm Ventures, UK based DFJ Esprit, German Creathor and Avera. The amount of the investment round was not made public. With this investment Bitbar is able to reach a larger developer-driven market and solidify its presence in the US market.
Customers like Rovio, Pay Pal, Supercell, Foursquare, Soundcloud and Skype among others, are using Testdroid in their agile development to build apps and games at ever increasing pace. The investment round enables the company to serve all mobile developers globally – from individual app and game developers to large enterprises – and provide them an access to scalable, professional level of service and technology.
“Building mobile apps is not easy. First you develop your app for ages, market it, release it, and all you get is bad reviews due to crashes on end user devices or some other glitches. It is not fair. There are 10 million mobile developers in the world with this headache. And we feel for them. –,” says Marko Kaasila, CEO of Bitbar Technologies.
Bitbar is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, and has operations also in San Francisco, Mountain View and Wroclaw, Poland.
